HOOB’s self-introduction

My name is HOOB, from Cantonese. It means, bear child, little kid, or refer to little dick. It has a certain provocative meaning for children.

My old friend RUOB.SON said that he has always had a certain prejudice against me, because he thinks HOOB at this age is always energetic, all kinds of troubles, toss, and nonsense. But at the same time, I feel that this age is the most imaginative and the most beautiful age in HOOB’s memory.

So nonsensical, black humor, and ridicule have always been the themes of RUOB.SON’s creation. RUOB.SON regards HOOB as a projection of himself and a window for dialogue with society.

About Zong jie, Luo (RUOB)

RUOB is a famous Graffiti artist from China. He has had art painting education from the age of 8. In 2011, he’s admitted to The Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and major in sculptural art for 7 years. During his education in GAFA, he was almost excluded by the school authority because he was found color weakness in health checkup. Therefore, he has been sensitive with bright color, and this’s how RUOB’s personal style has been forming.
